Allen Meadows - Score: 93-95 (2022 January)

Here the more restrained nose isn't quite as fresh as that of the Richebourg though it's almost as spicy with its blend of red and dark currant, plum, anise, soy and Asian-style tea. The rich, concentrated and powerful flavors are not quite as broad-shouldered though it's close as there is evident muscle and minerality to the firmly structured and slightly chewy finale where the only nit is a touch of warmth.
